Meet Luka Gekić

Luka Gekić is a pianist and composer who demonstrated perfect pitch at the age of two and began performing publicly by three. He studies with his father, international concert pianist Kemal Gekić.

He has performed throughout the United States and internationally, developing a distinctive artistic voice. He has received top awards in both performance and composition through organizations including MTNA, GMTA, and NFMC.

In November 2025, he was invited to perform in Antigua, Guatemala, as part of the Doral Piano Festival, where he was featured among the festival’s Emerging Stars.

He is a scholarship award recipient of the Miami International Piano Festival Academy, Coral Gables Music Club and the Atlanta Music Club.

This summer, he will present solo recitals in Peachtree City, Georgia; Novi Sad, Serbia; and Split, Croatia, as well as attend the Miami International Piano Festival Summer Academy at the Gustav Mahler House in the Italian Alps.
